David Tordjman has dedicated his life to building stronger communities—from Côte Saint-Luc to the Far North and across the globe. With decades of leadership experience in public service, urban planning, and community development, David is running for mayor to deliver smart, compassionate, and accountable leadership rooted in deep local knowledge and global perspective.
My Story
David brings an extensive record of service in Côte Saint-Luc. He is a former City Councillor and previously served as the city’s Director of Engineering, Public Works, and Urban Planning for 5 years. His intimate knowledge of our infrastructure, services, and planning frameworks makes him uniquely qualified to lead our city into a resilient and innovative future.
Professionally, David works in community development alongside First Nations partners. His work focuses on building capacity, fostering entrepreneurship, and advancing self-determination in some of Canada’s most remote and culturally rich regions. His ability to navigate complex challenges and build trust across cultures is a hallmark of his leadership style.
David’s experience also extends internationally. He has worked with the United Nations on humanitarian logistics and resilience planning, and is a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces, where he learned the values of discipline, service, and teamwork—principles that continue to guide his public life.
A proud husband and father, David is committed to leading Côte Saint-Luc with vision, transparency, and community spirit. He believes that good governance begins with listening—and that progress comes from working together.

Why I am running?
“Côte Saint-Luc is a special city — diverse, vibrant, and full of potential. But residents tell me the same thing: they don’t feel heard, and City Hall is out of touch. I’m running to bring fresh leadership — leadership that listens, delivers, and puts people first. Together, we can build a safer, stronger, and more connected Côte Saint-Luc.”

Four years ago, when David Tordjman decided to run for Mayor of Côte Saint-Luc, he placed his trust in Lior Azerad to succeed him as City Councillor for District 6. Together, they worked tirelessly to earn the confidence of residents, and thanks to that collaboration, Lior won the support of the community and has since served with dedication and integrity.
Over the past four years, Lior Azerad has proven to be an invaluable member of City Council. His hard work, thoughtful approach, and commitment to residents have brought real value to the city. Meet Lior Azerad
Lior Azerad has been a proud resident of Côte Saint-Luc for more than 25 years, raising his family and dedicating his time to strengthening the community. As a city councillor, he is recognized for his hands-on approach, responsiveness to residents, and commitment to ensuring the city remains safe, vibrant, and welcoming for all generations.
Service and Achievements
During his first term, Lior played a key role in addressing residents’ concerns and improving services across his district. One of his most notable achievements was securing the donation of an EMS vehicle valued at over $100,000, a vital addition to the city’s emergency resources. He has also been proactive in supporting public safety, advocating for strong community programs, and ensuring families continue to enjoy a high quality of life in Côte Saint-Luc.
Leadership and Values
Beyond his day-to-day work, Lior has taken a principled stand on issues of importance to the community. He successfully introduced and passed unanimous council resolutions denouncing rising antisemitism on local campuses and opposing federal policies that conflicted with the city’s values. His contributions on council have earned him respect as a leader who listens, acts decisively, and promotes growth and constructive change while preserving Côte Saint-Luc’s unique character.
